Access to information is important for democratic practice and culture.
IID has observed Right to know Day 2013 with a seminar on RTI at National Academy for Planning and Development on 28th September 2013. The seminar was jointly organized by the Information Commission and 12 other institutions with the purpose to raise awareness about people’s right to access information.
Honorable Minister for information Hasanul Haque Inu was the guest of honour, the Vice chancellor of University of Dhaka Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique was the special guest and the Chief Information Commissioner Mohammad Faruk was present as the president for the seminar.
