Participatory policy discourse has been ensured while the Education Position Paper has been prepared as part of BRAC-IID education advocacy campaign. Parents, teachers and education workers gave suggestions on access, equity and quality improvement in primary education, secondary education sector development and education financing.
IID has conducted 5 e-FGDs with BRAC Education activists, parents, teachers and other stakeholders in Sylhet, Bogra, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Kushtia. These e-FGDs took place on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 24th July & 11th August 2014 respectively through video conference interface of Skype.
The problem areas, issues and recommendations gathered through these e-FGDs were compiled and incorporated in the draft position paper for promoting these issues for national level policy advocacy.
