In an work environment, while the office space can be essential, it can also be overrated at times as well. And in a pandemic situation, where a combined office space is questionable, IID has decided to go for remote e-recruitment starting with the Internship Program.
Recently the HR department of IID has taken a few re-constructive decision to cope with COVID-19 pandemic situation. One of those decisions were to go for remote e-recruitment. IID took the step to comply with our decision to continue ‘Work From Home’ policy for all employees for the majority of this year, extending far beyond the govt. enforced lock-down. the first batch of remote recruitment was conducted during the month of May. The process resulted into recruitment of 9 interns from 6 (Bogra, Dhaka, Jhalokathi, Khulna, Lakshmipur, Sylhet) different districts.
The Youth for Policy Volunteer network, an youth led initiative of IID, got the exclusive chance to apply for the internship program. The new members of IID team were welcomed to the office through a virtual team meeting on the 12th of May 2020.
In a post pandemic world, where adaptability is the key to sustainability, IID hopes to continue with remote e-recruitment in the near future.
