IID participated at the CIPE Asia Think Tank Network (ATTN) Policy Forum to share expertise and gather comprehensive understanding of global perspective regarding policy issues.
The ATTN Policy Forum was held from January 13th to 14th, 2020 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The forum was co-organised by CIPE and IDEAS, a Malaysia based think tank.
The regional policy forum aims to foster peer-to-peer learning and networking between think tanks in the network in support of regional cooperation and policy dialogue. This year’s policy forum included discussion of various policy issues affecting the work and position of think tanks in ASEAN as well as updates on the network’s future activities.
Some of the invited speakers included distinguished officials of ASEAN Secretariat, OECD, ADB, World Bank and think tank partners across Asia. Among the participants John Morrell, Director for Asia-pacific, CIPE; Ali Salman, CEO, Ideas; Ramesh Subramaniam, Director General, ADB Southeast Asia Regional Department; John Morrell, Director for Asia-Pacific, CIPE; Ryan Evangelista, CIPE Coordinator for SE Asia and Jong Woo Kang, Principal Economist, Regional Cooperation and Integration Division, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, ADB were mentionable.
